Bliss Spa Triple Oxygen Facial

A few weeks ago I was contacted by the lovely Stevie from Bliss and Elemis kindly offering me to pop into Bliss based in my local Debenhams for a complimentary Triple Oxygen Facial, i'm used to having facials all the time in my college course and I absolutely love them so I couldn't wait to try the Triple Oxygen!

The first thing  Stevie used was the Lid and Lash remover on the eyes to get rid of any make-up, unlike most eye-makeup removers it didn't leave my eyes feeling oily, instead it actually made them feel quite fresh! She then used the Clog Dissolving Cleansing Milk all over the face to dissolve dirt and make-up from the skin and followed with the Triple Oxygen Cleansing Foam which was my favourite product used in the facial! It felt really odd but nice as it turns from a liquid into a foam on the skin.
To tone my skin Stevie used the Detoxifying Toner, what i like about this product is that it contains rose water to soothe the skin which was a nice touch after all the cleansing on my skin. Next was the Pore Fector Gadget, used to deep cleanse pores and help remove blackheads. This actually hurt a little bit around my nose but i think that's because i have quite sensitive skin, after the facial i did notice that there was less of an oily shine on the areas where this was used and blackheads looked slightly reduced which was a good thing! Glycolic pads were then used on my skin which helped soothe it after the Pore Fector Gadget had done it's work, and then i had a really relaxing shoulder massage which was a lovely added extra, followed by a facial massage. Stevie then used the Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Eye Masks on my eyes. I was really happy with the results from these as i usually have dark circles under my eyes and i get tired eyes easily from my contact lenses so it was nice to feel the effects of this product and have de-puffed, hydrated and brightened eyes, i can also imagine this would be a great hangover cure haha!
After enzymes were used over the face the Triple Oxygen Face Mask was used. I would say that this product is one of Bliss' most popular, and i can definitely see why. My skin felt absolutely amazing after this, Bliss describe it "Bliss triple oxygen energizing mask is a fast-acting foamy face mask that brightens, tightens and revives dull, sallow skin" and it is true to every single word. While the face mask was doing wonders for my skin i had a hand and arm massage which was nice rather than just waiting for the mask to work, the massage was done with the Blood Orange and White Pepper Body Butter which smelt absolutely out of this world! It's just indescribable how good it smells so if you're near a bliss counter soon you need to give this a whiff!
Stevie then used the Triple Oxygen Machine all over my face which felt so good, it basically just blows oxygen onto the face and leaves the skin looking brightened and overall amazing and i felt super pampered when i found out that Madonna has one so it must be good! To finish she used the Triple Oxygen Moisturiser on my skin which has vitamin c in it and left my skin looking glowing and feeling really hydrated.

The entire facial was so relaxing and you can really feel all of the products working on the skin! The only thing I was slightly wary about was that the treatments are done on the shop floor, but once you get into the chair and the therapist begins the facial, the customers are the last thing on your mind. I would definitely go for another bliss facial again, the results actually lasted for quite a few days and i felt confident enough to go out without any make-up on which is a huge thing for me! Also if you pop into the Chester debenhams and go to the Bliss/Elemis counter and tell the girls you've read this review on my blog you can get a two for one facial and a complimentary lip treatment! I was kindly sent this dress a few weeks ago from Fashion Culprit and i am absolutely in love with it. I didn't realize until i got this that i didn't actually own a simple black dress, so thankgod now i actually do! It's such a simple dress but the heart cut out is so beautiful and flattering. I can think of so many occasions where this dress could be worn and i know i will get alot of use out of it! I've paired it with my usual studded belt, bright pink lips and nails (which for some reason didn't photograph well at all!) and a gorgeous infinity necklace. I've been wearing this necklace non stop, i think it is just so cute and it will go with anything! Delilah Dust have tons of gorgeous inexpensive jewellerey and postage is free to UK customers.

Also quickly i just want to say sorry for not posting for a while, i've had issues with my laptop and life has just been really stressful lately and i needed a little break. I'm a huge lover of John Frieda products, especially the Brilliant Brunette Shampoo which keeps my hair the colour i want without having to dye it all the time so as you can imagine i was so happy when i was given the opportunity to try out some of the Luxurious Volume products.

The products i was sent to try were the Luxurious Volume Thickening Shampoo, Thickening Conditioner and Thickening Mousse. Getting big voluminous hair is something i'm always trying to achieve but it's something i can only seem to get with the use of rollers, some serious backcombing or a styling tool which always takes time and effort. I've tried shampoo and conditioners before that claim to give big hair but they've never really done anything for me so i was slightly skeptical about trying these products but i am so, so happy with the results.

I just wash my hair like normal with the shampoo and conditioner and then apply the mousse to towel dried hair and blow dry my hair or leave it to air dry, either way it leaves my hair feeling so soft and gives it an amazing shape meaning i don't even have to touch it once it's dry if i didn't have time to curl it, which is such a good thing for me! Aswell as giving my hair amazing bounce it also leaves my split ends looking much better and it gives my hair a gorgeous healthy shine. I'm really happy with the overall results from theses products and i will definitely be getting a few more bits and bobs from John Frieda! I've also been getting lots of great styling tips from the John Frieda Youtube Channel which you can find here so i'd definitely recommend that if you are looking for some tips and tricks.

A few weeks ago i had been very naughty when it came to my skincare and I had started skipping one of the crucial steps- toning. It felt like it was a wasted effort as i didn't like how it made my skin feel and i never really noticed any changes, so why bother right?

Now that i am a Beauty Therapy student i'm always practicing facials, having them done and also learning about all the different products and the benefits that come along with them. Wednesday mornings have become my favourite time of the week because i can just roll out of bed sans slap, and have a snooze while my skin gets pampered in college. I noticed how fresh and plump my skin always felt afterwards, especially after it had been toned so i realized it was obviously just the product i had been using and decided it was time for a new one. Very conveniently when i was in Boots a few days later i got given a No7 voucher which entitled me to get £5 off skincare and £3 off make-up so i decided to have a look what skincare they had to offer.

The No7 Soft and Soothed Gentle Toner appealed to me because it is designed to refresh, comfort and hydrate the skin, meaning my skin wouldn't feel horrible and tight after using it. It is also alcohol and fragrance free so it would be suitable for sensitive skin even though it says on the Boots website its for normal/dry skin. I apply this to a cotton pad and wipe all over my face after cleansing to remove any excess make-up and close pores after cleansing has opened them to remove dirt etc. I really enjoy using this product and i love how supple it leaves my skin feeling! Since using this i have noticed my pores are alot smaller and i have a lot less blackheads so i would highly recommend!

So a few nights ago i decided it was time to have an evening of well-deserved pampering and these Lush products fit the bill perfectly.

When i was in Lush, i was feeling really rundown and i had a cold so i needed something to soothe the symptoms and relax me. The lovely sales assistant suggested i try the Avobath Bath Bomb which is made up of avocado, olive oil, lemongrass, rosewood and bergamot essential oils. She told me that not only will this leave my skin feeling great but it will also help with the cold symptoms i was having and she was 100% right. It smells so fresh and lemony and it made me never want to leave my bathroom! It turns the water a deep green colour with slight shimmers throughout but don't worry, you won't come out looking like a glitter ball and you can wash your hair in the water too (although i prefer to do this separately). So whether you are feeling ill, rundown, stressed, hungover or just tired this is the perfect pick me up. It has quickly become my favourite and now whenever i pop into Lush this is always something i purchase!

Next i picked up the Brazened Honey Fresh Face Mask, which is designed to exfoliate and brighten up the skin. The first thing i will say is that the scent to this face mask is very, very strong but its grown on me. It smells of honey (obviously) and some other herby scents are in there too. This face mask is to be used chilled so Lush suggest you keep it in the fridge and use it within 3 weeks of purchase so you are using it while all the ingredients are still fresh and active. Brazened Honey is made up of  Sage, Juniper and rosemary infusions, ground cardamon and clove bud oil for their antiseptic qualities. Eggs, honey and almond oil to sooth, soften and moisturise the skin. Fresh fennel, fresh ginger root, fresh parsley and fresh coriander to detox and stimulate - and their enzymes will help break down dead skin cells and finally, fresh lime juice which cleans and degreases, and the ground almond shells act as a stimulating scrub to lift away dead grey skin. I definitely noticed a difference in my skin straight away after using this and i couldn't stop touching it, it felt so smooth and looked so bright. I'm really interested into trying some more face masks from lush, but this is one i will go back to time and time again.
